    5. Select Link to customer roles. This applies to reference fields which are mapped to customer roles and some or all of those roles are managed by other roles who have the option to send order confirmations enabled. If selected only the managers of roles selected using this option are sent order confirmations.
For example: Customer “A” has Customer Roles “Inside Sales” and “Outside Sales”. Customer “B” has Customer Role “Inside Sales Manager” which is the manager of “Inside Sales” customers. Customer “C” has role “Outside Sales Manager” which is the manager of “Outside Sales” customers. This reference field would have values “Inside Sales” and “Outside Sales” and the customer would be required to choose one when checking out. If customer chooses “Inside Sales” then only the “Inside Sales Manager” customers would be send order confirmations. Same would be true if customer chooses “Outside Sales” only the “Outside Sales Managers” would be sent a confirmation.
