Product Media

Product media is essential to stores and their ability to operate efficiently. Not only is product media necessary to display images but it also allows for orders to be created with all necessary artwork and configuration data so they can be sent automatically or with out needing to be modified before sending to a supplier or decorator.

Adding Media

  1. From the parts list select a Part ID to configure.

  2. Navigate to the Media section and select Add Media.

  3. If Media Type is Image.

    1. Select a Media Type.

    2. Select a Media Class.

      1. If uploading a product image select one or many media classes. Typically decorated will suffice.

      2. If uploading a logo or artwork select Logo as the media class. PLEASE NOTE If a Logo media exists we will attach it and its configuration data to orders when they are created. Logo media will also take priority over media associated with the store and will hide any store media when configuring a product. If you would like users to choose from store media when configuring a product don’t upload a Logo media.

    3. Upload media.

      1. Upload an media from computer.

      2. Upload media from a URL.

      3. Select an existing product image from synced product.

Designing Media

Our designer can be used to create mockups of your products with logos.

  1. On the image you would like to design select Design.

  2. Upload an image and place on blank product photo.

  3. Select Save Image.

Imprint Areas

You can define imprint areas on blank product photos which will place logos selected by customers within the imprint area via the Configure or Design pages.

  1. On the image you would like to define an imprint are select Imprint Areas.

  2. If an existing imprint area exists select Add or select Create new imprint area if you would like to create a new imprint area.

  3. If creating a new imprint area use the corners of the box to define the imprint area.

  4. Select Save imprint area.

Media Details

Edit details about the image such as a code, comments or description of the media. This data is intended for internal or customer use. Use Media Configuration to configure data which will be sent to suppliers.

  1. Select Edit in the Media Details section of the media you would like to add configuration data to.

  2. Enter optional details

    1. Code - Code which is related to the logo. This code will show on orders reports.

    2. Description - Description of the logo. Visible to customers.

    3. Comments - Comments related to the logo. Not visible to customers.

Media Configuration

Configure a Logo file so its configuration data can be used when creating orders. The configuration data store here will be passed to suppliers when submitting orders. Some of this data is required by suppliers and this data is essential if submitting orders via PromoStandards.

  1. Select Edit in the Media Configuration section of the media you would like to edit.

  2. Configure the media configuration sections below.

Artwork

General information about the artwork.

  1. Number of Colors - Number of colors in the artwork. Can be left blank if full color.

  2. Ref Artwork Id - A pre-shared artwork Id that can be used by the supplier to find and reference the artwork.

  3. Total Stitch Count - The total stitch count for the specified embroidery art.

  4. Description - A textual description of the artwork being provided.

  5. Instructions - Any instructions regarding the processing or modification of artwork. Adding instructions will cause delays in processing.

Dimensions RECOMMENDED

Dimensions of the artwork size when decorated.

  1. Geometry - Geometry of artwork to be decorated.

  2. UOM - Unit of measure associated with artwork dimensions.

  3. Height - Height of artwork to be decorated.

  4. Width - Width of artwork to be decorated.

  5. Diameter - Diameter of artwork to be decorated.

  6. Use max location dimension - Use the maximum allowed imprint dimensions for this location. If this is set to true, all other dimension information is ignored except for geometry.

Artwork File REQUIRED

Details about the files location and decoration type. Most options can be left as default options.

  1. Type - The purpose of the artwork file. Defaults to Production Ready.

  2. Transport mechanism - The exact path/location to the artwork. Typically how the supplier will download the file.

  3. File Name - The file name and extension only of the artwork.

  4. File Location - The exact path/location to the artwork.

Typeset

Typeset information associated with art file. Typically not required.

  1. Sequence Number - The order of the typeset information.

  2. Value - The typeset to be used on the order.

  3. Font - The font to use for the typeset.

  4. Font Size - The font size to use for the typeset.

Layers RECOMMENDED

Color system, layers and stops associated with the artwork. Useful for embroidery files.

  1. Color System - The color system to use: Cmyk, Other, Pms, Rgb, Thread

  2. Layers or Stops

    1. Name or Number - The name or number of the layer/stop.

    2. Description - A human readable description of the layer.

    3. Color - The color value that corresponds to the colorSystem defined.

Locations

Location artwork should be decorated on. This is typically defined on the product level but for products with multiple locations this information can be used to associate artwork with each location and decoration.

Decorations

Decoration method associated with the artwork.
